Run Group Level 5 – Advance Runners — 2 Comments

  1. Hi guys, I’m running Berlin marathon in September, aiming for a sub 3 hour time. I’m looking to join a club that will help push me and maybe I can help others in the club too. Work gets in the way often sadly but are there any Saturday groups running I could join That sit around or just under 7 min mile pace?

    • Hi
We have over 200 adult members and six different group levels. We have a lot of members who run marathons from 2:30 to sub 3 hours. I recommend you try our running group Level 5 or group level 6.
On a Tuesday 6:30pm we have a level 6 speed group coached by Jon Parkinson. This group has the best runners in South Devon. Some Level 5 run in this group too. You will be fine in this group.
We also have an endurance group level 5 Tuesday 6:30pm. Distance will be between 8 and 12 miles.
Thursday 6:30pm we offer a speed session which includes all groups training together. This give new runner a chance to meet people from other groups.
      The club is very friendly.
We meet at Riviera Centre 6:30pm until end of May, then after we move to Torre Valley North Sports Field which is about 400 metres from Riviera Centre. Field next to Cockington School on Avenue Road Torquay.
Every weekend there are many races so members don’t want a training session at the club as they prefer to do their own run. Many member will meet other members for a weekend run. If you want to run with someone of your ability then Im sure you won’t have a problem finding a club member willing to run with you.
Membership is £37 a year which includes England Athletic membership. Sessions are Free once you joined.
You are more then welcome to try us first for free.
We also offer circuit training sessions, cycling and swimming sessions.
Click on this link to view a map of where we run train.
Please come along and give us a try and ask for me and I will introduce you to many members
      See you soon
